Although you wouldn't be able to tell from this picture, the kids are fighting more and more these days. We got Sarah this art easel for her birthday for 2 reasons. One, she loves art and two, it has 2 sides. So the idea was for them to be able to do an activity together yet seperate. See the logic there?
But, oh no, what do they want to do? Color on the same side! Which worked for approximately 3.2 seconds (just long enough to snap this picture). Then came the wailing and gnashing of teeth over who was coloring on whose picture and who got to hold the eraser.
I know this is to be expected but it still gets old fast. A very common line of conversation in our house these days goes something like this:
Sarah (whiny): "Carter hit (kicked, punched, etc) me!" or "No Carter! 'Top it!"
Mommy (irritable): "What are you guys doing!"
Carter (pleading and innocent): "I didn't do it! Really!"
Mommy (now visibly frustrated and screetching): "If you two can't play nice together then stay away from each other!"
I love my life.

Oh the life of siblings. It brings back memories of me and my brother (but I was the older one). I can't believe my parents didn't go gray young! I know it can be very trying. Kylie won't have a sibling to fight with so I wonder how she'll get her aggressions out?!? Kind of worries me :P
Ah...my future! Thanks for the heads up! :-)
I'm already mentally preparing for these days ahead. My mother-in-law says fighting was her biggest patience challenge.
Nice post, Thanks...
